Barnum and Baily take pride in the care of their animals.
Cool Fact- There is a local vet on call 24 hours a day in each city where the show is performed.

Ringling Bros. family established the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation in 1995. Researchers use this facility to learn more about this big part of their circus.

I think it's really interesting that there is a Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation in Florida! I'm glad that they are trying to promote Elephant welfare.

Lillian Leitzel was a circus diva of the highest regard. She ruled the rings as well as the back lot during the golden age of The Greatest Show On Earth. The fun fact i found was that she is fluent in five languages :)

In 1907, the Ringling Brothers purchased their largest competitor -- Barnum & Bailey circus for $400,000. Really hope we win...my daughters would love the show!!!! Thanks - love your blog!

I think the elephants look amazing. The way they can train them is fantastic. And I never knew elephants had a "finger" on the end of their trunk to help them pick up things, much like humans do, says the description. I would love the opportunity to win these tickets and take my kids to the show!

today is my birthday and would love to take my two little boys and hubby to see the show.
Here is something interested I found out about PT Barnum:
In 1841, he purchased Scudder's American Museum (on Broadway and Ann Street of New York City) and renamed the building "Barnum's American Museum."
This was before he became the founder of the Barnum Bailey Circus.

I love that Ringling Brothers created an elephant conservatory to help preserve the asian elephants through educating and breeding!

Lou Jacobs was truly a Master Clown who performed with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® for 60 years from 1925 to 1985. In the latter decades of his long life and career, Jacobs achieved well-deserved renown as the world's most famous clown.
